1. WHAT RIDDLES VITAMIN B COMPLEX TABLET IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR 
Riddles Vitamin B Complex Syrup is a proprietary combination medicine containing three (3) active ingredients, namely, Thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), Riboflavine phosphate (vitamin B2), and Nicotinamide (vitamin B3). These are water soluble vitamins which form part of co-enzymes essential for the metabolism of protein, carbohydrate and fatty acid in the body. The synergistic actions of all three (3) agents in the body may help boost appetite, correct deficiencies and enhance vitality.

2. PRECAUTIONS AND WARNING BEFORE YOU TAKE RIDDLES VITAMIN B COMPLEX TABLET 

Contraindication:
• Do not take Riddles Vitamin B Complex tablet if you are allergic or hypersensitive to the active drugs or any of the ingredients of Riddles Vitamin B Complex tablet.

Pregnancy and Lactation:
• Inform your physician when taking any drug including Riddles Vitamin B Complex Tablet, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy.
• Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should not take Riddles Vitamin B complex tablet in high doses. 

Take special care with Riddles Vitamin B Complex Tablet if:
You have kidney or liver disease, diverticular disease, peptic ulcer, iron metabolism disorder, blood clotting disorder, sickle cell and hemolytic anemia.

Taking other Medicines:
Please inform your Pharmacist or Doctor if you are taking or about to take any other medicine, including those obtained without a prescription.

Driving and using Machines 
Riddles Vitamin B Complex is not known to cause sedation or dizziness, and will not adversely affect operating machinery or any activity that requires alertness.

3. HOW TO TAKE RIDDLES VITAMIN B COMPLEX TABLET
• Adults should take a maximum oral dose of 1tablet 3- 4 times daily.
• Children 12 years and above should take a maximum oral dose of 1tablet 1-2 times daily.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Riddles Vitamin B Complex tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Niacin flush resulting in redness, tingling and increased warmth rarely occurs. Side effects like diarrhea, rash, urticaria may arise as a result of sensitivity to any of the excipients used in the product. Side effects due to the active drugs are unlikely since any excess vitamin B is excreted.

Possible interactions with food and drugs
B vitamins prevent the absorption of tetracycline and interferes with its activity hence should not be taken concurrently. Interactions of B vitamins with phenytoin, phenobarbital, and 5-fluorouracil have been also reported.

5. SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT OF OVER DOSAGE 
Excess vitamin B is readily excreted, therefore no serious problems are anticipated for the administration of Riddles vitamin B complex tablet. However, early onset Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy, anxiety or panic attacks, difficulty breathing and palpitations, rash and stomach upset have been rarely reported in overdosage. These symptoms are mostly self limiting and may require symptomatic treatment where necessary.

6. HOW TO STORE RIDDLES VITAMIN B COMPLEX TABLET                                                                                                                                                 Keep tablet out of reach or sight of children and stored below 300c. Keep it in the original package. Check the expiry date on the label and do not use product if expired.

In addition to Thiamine mononitrate,  Riboflavine Phosphate and Nicotinamide, the other ingredients in Riddles Vitamin B Complex tablet are: Lactose, maize starch, gelatin, sodium methylparaben, tartrazine, magnesium stearate and Talc.
